10 Thoughtful DIY Gifts you can make this weekend

Hi Reader,

Looking for a unique gift that isn't 'one clicked', and doesn't come in a cardboard shipping box?

I’m a firm believer that the best gifts are the ones we make ourselves. They tell a story, they create a memory, and quite frankly, they just mean more.

That’s why this year, I’m leaning hard into homemade gifts. Not only are they budget-friendly, but they are also often more useful and appreciated than another generic store-bought item. Plus, you get to stay home in your pajamas while you "shop" (aka create)!

My kids often like to get involved, especially when it's for teachers or someone they personally know. We have a fun time crafting together with a holiday movie playing in the background or our favorite Christmas music.

Whether you’re a pro crafter or just starting out, I’ve put together a list of simple, beautiful gift ideas that anyone can make. And best of all, they all have natural, healthy, non toxic ingredients that you can feel good about.

Add some pretty ribbon or twine and you have a gorgeous handmade gift!

Gingerbread Soaps

These look fancy with the gingerbread guy inside the soap bar, but are surprisingly simple to make.

Gingerbread Lotion Bars

Fun lotion bars that would look cute on the bathroom counter when entertaining.

Hibiscus Bath Bombs

Hibiscus Bath Bombs are perfect for anyone needing some home spa time. Make up a spa basket with these and some homemade oatmeal body butter for the perfect treat.

Rainbow Bath Salts

What little girl wouldn't love to receive these bath salts!! And they are perfectly safe for all ages.

Green Tea Sugar Scrub Bars

A fun twist on classic sugar scrub. Use any mold you like to create a fun single use sugar scrub bar.

Bee Hive Soaps With Honey and Vanilla

Super fun soaps that are beyond cute and smell fantastic.

Healthy Beeswax Candles

Healthy Candles that are surprisingly easy to make. Customize the scent for a luxurious gift.

Vanilla Bean Lotion Bars

These lotion bars smell so good! Easy to make and are wonderfully portable - perfect for the 'on the go' people on your list.

Goats Milk Soap

This gorgeous soap is a little bit of luxury! With Chamomile, Eucalyptus, Lavender, and Ground Oatmeal, it will make an impressive gift that is simple to make.

Candy Cane Shower Steamers

These looks delicious enough to eat! Throw one on the floor of the shower for a yummy sensory experience that will help to open up airways.

I'm planning on making a few different items and putting together 'spa night baskets' that include some bath bombs, lotions, and soaps for a relaxing self care package.

Hopefully these ideas spark some creativity and ideas for your DIY gifts.

Reach out if I can be of any help!
