🦟The bugs found you first, didn't they

Hi Reader,

You know that moment β€” you finally sit down outside with your drink, the sun's going down, and bzzzzz. The mosquitoes found you first.

I'm sure you know the struggle. My DIY bug spray was the most-read post on the blog last month. If you haven't made a bottle yet, it takes 3 ingredients, works on ticks too, and it's safe for the whole family β€” no DEET required.

And if sprays aren't your thing (or you want something for a purse or pocket), I also have a solid balm version. It's made with lemon balm infused oil plus citronella, cedarwood, and tea tree β€” it moisturizes while it protects, won't spill in your bag, and it's perfect for camping trips and evening walks. One pea-sized scoop covers your ankles and wrists, right where mosquitoes love to bite.

Make the spray for the backyard, the balm for the road. Enjoy your evenings out there β€” you got there first.

Mosquito & Bug Repellent Balm

An easy balm version of my popular bug spray. Throw it in a purse or backpack on a hike and you don't have to worry about a glass bottle breaking. Make it with an herb infused oil and / or essential oils. Both ways will be effective.

Hi Reader, Summer has a way of asking a lot from your skin β€” sun, heat, chlorine, salt water, sweat, you name it. Lately, I've been leaning back into green tea. It's one of those ingredients that just quietly does its job, no fuss, no fancy packaging required. A few reasons I keep coming back to it: Rich in antioxidants that may help support healthy-looking skin Traditionally used to calm and soothe overheated or irritated skin Naturally refreshing, which makes it feel extra good in the...

a bottle of diy facial massage oil and a jade roller

Hi Reader, Saturday I shared how to dry brush for your body's lymphatic system β€” today it's your face's turn. If you wake up puffy (hello, summer heat and salty snacks), a quick facial massage is one of the simplest natural ways to de-puff, ease jaw and brow tension, and get that fresh-blood-flow glow. All you need is 5 minutes and a few drops of the right oil. I have a new post shows you how to make a simple DIY facial massage oil with essential oils, plus the exact 5-minute routine β€” just...

Hi Reader, When I looked at June's most popular posts last week, one theme jumped out: three of the top five were about lymphatic support. So today I'm sharing the easiest way to work it into your routine β€” dry brushing. If you grabbed my dry brushing guide, consider this your nudge to actually pick the brush up tomorrow morning It takes about 5 minutes before your shower. A natural bristle brush, long strokes toward your heart, and you're done. It may help with circulation, puffiness, and...
